Millard 'Midy' Tyding Bott, 70 of Charlestown, MD, died Saturday, December 24, 2011 in Union Hospital, Elkton, MD. Born in PA, on March 14, 1941, he was the son of the late Jesse J. and the late Mary Robinson Bott. He served his country admirably in the U.S. Air Force. Midy retired from General Motors where he worked as an Assembler. He also retired from the Town of Charlestown. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 6027, North East, MD. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and scooter, crabbing and anything related to the water. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends, always being there to help someone in need. Survivors include his son: Jay N. Bott and wife Corey of Towson, MD; 2 grandchildren: Charlotte and Owen; his companion, Darlene Walsh of Elkton, MD; and 1 sister: Maro Crawford. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a brother: Lyle Bott. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Mary Browne will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time. Interment will follow in Charlestown Cemetery, Charlestown, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to Charlestown Volunteer Fire Dept. or St. John's United Methodist Church, both in care of the funeral home.
