Mildred Elizabeth (Janney) Vance

Mildred Elizabeth Vance, 79 of North East, MD, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

Born in Killarney, WV, on September 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter Roscoe and the late Vinnie Pearl (Coalson) Janney.  She was the wife of the late Albert Lee Vance.

Mildred had worked at Johnny's Restaurant, Elkton Sparkler Company, and Sandy Cove Ministries. She was a member of North East Church of God.

Survivors include two daughters: Linda Farr (Wayne) of North East, MD and Patty Blankenship (Sampy) of Athens, WV; and two sons: Carl "Junior" Vance (Diane) of North East, MD and Elvis Vance (Kim) of Elkton, MD;  two stepsons: David Vance (Renee) of Princeton, VA and James Vance (Sandra) of Greensboro, NC; four sisters: Mary Gibney (Jim) of Rising Sun, MD, Wilma Crouch of Elkton, MD, Zetta Hermans (Ted) of North East, MD and Drema Grafton of Charlestown, MD; one brother: Elmer Janney (Mae) of Oxford, PA; Also survived by 19 grandchildren, one of which she raised, Eric Barclay, and several great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by two daughters: Vicky Barclay and Sheila Vance; and a son: Michael Vance; a sister: Vivian Griffith; and a brother: Freddie E. Janney.

Funeral service will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until service time.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
