Mildred Simpers Tull, 81 of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD. Born in North East, MD, on September 4, 1924, she was the daughter of the late R. Carter and the late Edna Miller Simpers. Mrs. Tull retired from Harford County Public Schools, where she taught second grade for 26 years. She also taught for some of that time at Cecil County Public Schools. Mrs. Tull was a member of the North East United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, she was active in the Elk Neck State Park Sunday services for over 30 years, and a member of the Lady Lions of North East, MD. She enjoyed playing the piano, cross stitching, spending time with her family, and picnics. Survivors include her husband, Charles D. Tull, of Elkton, MD; one son, Gene Tull of Elkton, MD; one daughter, Susan T. Wilson, of Elkton, MD; two sisters, Betty S. Blankenship, of Oxford, PA, and Nancy S. Reynolds, of Elkton, MD; and 5 grandchildren, Aaron Wilson, Seth Wilson, Laura Wilson, Malorie Tull, and Matthew Tull. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2006 at 2:00 PM at North East United Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901, where family and friends may call from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. Rev. Daniel Gedman and Rev. Boyd B. Etter will officiate.
