Mildred B. Raine

Mildred B. Raine, 95 of Fair Hill, MD, died Thursday, January 17, 2008 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in North East, MD, on July 3, 1912, she was the daughter of the late George and the late Eleanora Lilly McKinney. She was the wife of the late John Leroy Raine who died in 1986. Mrs. Raine graduated from North East High School in the Class of 1929. She was a member of North East United Methodist Church for 70 years, a member of WCTU and the North East Homemakers. She enjoyed visiting with friends. Survivors include: one son: Dr. George L. Raine of Fair Hill, MD; and one brother: Gifford Biles of Elkton, MD. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation starting one hour before the services. Rev. Daniel T. Gedman will officiate. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation in care of the funeral home.
