She was born AL on February 24, 1933.
Mrs. Flaharty retired from Thiokol, where she was employed as a secretary with 30 years of service.
She was a member of Bible Fellowship Baptist Church, Rising Sun, MD; loved to cook and read.
Survivors include her children: Rhoda J. Coyle of Hampton, VA, James M. Flaharty, Jr. of San Pedro, CA and Mary L. Miller of Etters, PA; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James M. Flaharty, Sr. on October 16, 2009; and her brother: Hershel Lee Harvel.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Jeffrey England will be held Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Interment will follow services in Bible Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
