Maureen T. Kyle, age 72, of North East, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at her home.
Born on December 19, 1953, in Oxford, Pennsylvania, Maureen devoted much of her professional life to the field of education, serving as a professor's assistant at Lincoln University. Her work reflected an appreciation for learning and the important role education plays in enriching lives. Through her years at the university, she contributed to an academic community dedicated to knowledge, growth, and opportunity.
Above all, Maureen was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, William E. “Bill” Trice III, with whom she shared more than 20 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life rooted in love, companionship, and the quiet comfort of simply being together. Their marriage was a testament to the beauty of having someone by your side through life's many seasons, sharing in its joys, navigating its challenges, and finding happiness in the ordinary moments that, in time, become the most precious memories. To Bill, Maureen was more than his wife; she was his companion, his partner, and an irreplaceable part of his world. Though her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, the love they shared will remain a lasting part of his life, held close in the memories of their years together.
Beyond her professional life, Maureen found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed watching television and playing video games, finding comfort and entertainment in the familiar routines of everyday life. It is often these seemingly ordinary moments that become the most treasured, reminding us that a beautiful life is not measured solely by grand accomplishments, but also by the love, laughter, and companionship shared along the way.
Maureen is lovingly survived by her husband of over 20 years, William E. “Bill” Trice III; her stepson, William E. Trice IV and his wife, Jessie; her sister, Dorothy Kauffman; and her grandson, William E. Trice V.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Brian Kyle and Scott Tice; and her siblings, Buddy Winters, Margie Winters, and Donna Winters.
While words can never fully express the sorrow of saying goodbye, Maureen leaves behind something that time and distance cannot diminish: the love she gave and the memories she created. For Bill, the years they shared will forever be a cherished chapter of his life, filled with moments that belonged to them alone. Although their time together has come to an end, the bond they built and the love they shared will endure.
Maureen will be deeply missed, tenderly remembered, and forever loved by those whose lives were made richer simply by having her in them.
