Mattie E. (Gettshall) Moore
A lifetime resident of Cecil County, she was born in Earleville on October 19, 1919, the daughter of the late William and the late Minnie E. (Wrightson) Gettshall.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Moore worked at the North East Laundromat.
She was a member of the North East Senior Citizens. She loved flowers, pets and traveling. Most of all she enjoyed her family, especially the time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter: Susan G. Powers and her husband CSM Reginald Powers of Elkton, MD and son: Thomas L. Holmes, Jr. and his wife Anita of Elkton, MD; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her extended family and friends at Abbey Manor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: T. Leonard Holmes, Sr., George McDowell and Ermond T. Moore.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. until service time.
Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery.
