Maryann (Kendall) Dean

MaryAnn Dean, age 85, of North East passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025. She was born in Williamsport, PA on July 19, 1939. MaryAnn was wife to Edward (Eddie) Dean for 70 years. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was known for her generous heart, sense of humor, and complete devotion to her family. At a young age, MaryAnn worked alongside her cousins in her family’s sub shop, which is where she first met Eddie. She relished in her work as a mother and homemaker, raising two sons and hosting countless family holidays. She also enjoyed researching genealogy after the family went to bed. MaryAnn’s greatest joy was being a Mom-mom to her four granddaughters and three great-grandchildren who adored her in kind. With them, she shared her love of road trips, camping, and live music. At home, you could find her on the screened-in porch enjoying a cup of hot coffee and watching the hummingbirds. MaryAnn is preceded in death by her brother Jonny Kendall, sister Doris Kendall, father Irving Kendall, mother Alice Hall, and brother James (Jimmy) Jackson. She is survived by her husband Eddie; sons Wayne and Mark; granddaughters Chelsea, Autumn, Carly, and Genna; and great-grandchildren Ruby, Talis, and Marigold.

Her life will be honored in a private memorial service with immediate family.
