Mary Virginia Yackanech, 80 of North East, Maryland died on September 15, 2005 at Christiana Hospital in New Castle, Delaware Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Wayne Criss and Gladys Westfall Criss. She was a homemaker. Mary was a member of the North East United Methodist Church where she was active on many committees and a member of the Turkey Point Light House Station. Along with her late husband Mike she was active in the US Navy Fleet Reserve Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband the late Mike Yackanech who passed on October 29, 1991. Also survived by her children: Michael Edward Yackanech of North East, Maryland Patricia Hughes and her husband Joseph of Tallahassee, FL, Fred Yackanech and his wife Lynn of Wilmington, DE, Joseph and his companion Lydia Brown of New Castle, DE, her two sisters Helen Lamm of Clarksburg, West Virginia and Barbara Probst and her husband Lee of Flint, Michigan. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased her sister Peggy Cumberland And her brother William Criss. Survived by eight grand children and five great-grand children. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 23, 2005 at the Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 22, 2005 at the funeral home. Rev. Dan Gedman and Rev. Mark Maxwell will officiate. Interment, North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, Maryland Contribution maybe made to the Turkey Point Light House Station Inc., P.O. Box 412, North East, MD or the North East Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box , North East, MD 21901
