Mary Gordon Hollenbaugh

Mary Gordon Hollenbaugh, age 82, of North East, MD, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 18, 2011, at Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Carlisle, PA on Nov. 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Donald Gordon and Anna Mary Shugart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles N. Hollenbaugh, Sr., her step-father, Fred Shugart, a grandson, Larry Jason Williams; sisters, Betty Rhoades and Pearl Wilson, a step-sister, Doris Jean Shugart, and a step-brother, George Shugart. Mary is survived by her children, Doris J. Hollenbaugh, Charles N. Hollenbaugh, Jr. and wife Rose, all of North East, MD, and Freda M. Endress and husband James, of Imler, PA; 6 grandchildren, Renee Hollenbaugh of Odessa, FL, Brandon C. Hollenbaugh, Sr. of Elkton, MD, David M. Isaac of Rising Sun, MD, Mary Beth Barben of North East, MD and Melissa Mock of Alum Bank, PA; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Pauline Claire and Irene Ludt and husband Leon; half-sisters, Annie Rummel and Dorothy Beamer; half-brothers, Dale Shugart and wife Martha and Richard Shugart and wife Elaine, all of Carlisle, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary's family will greet friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901, with the funeral following at 1:00 PM. Rev. Jack Cohen will officiate. Pall Bearers will be Mary's grandchildren, Brandon C. Hollenbaugh, Sr. and David Isaac; brothers, Dale and Richard Shugart; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Barben and Brandon C. Hollenbaugh, Jr. Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. Contributions, if desired, may be made in memory of Mary to the American Heart Association, in care of the funeral home.
