Mary Louise Cook

Mary Louise Cook, 63 of Charlestown, MD, went home to be with the Lord Friday, January 19, 2007 at home. Born in Traphill, NC, on August 11, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Samuel and the late Verna Nicholson Johnson. Mrs. Cook was the wife of Raymond M. Cook, Sr. of North East, MD. Survivors include: five daughters: Patty Reed of North East, MD, Linda Kennedy of Rising Sun, MD, Nancy Harris of Bloomsburg, PA, Martha Comer of Elkton, MD, Jenny Patrick of Elkton, MD and two sons: Raymond Cook, Jr. of Elkton, MD, Jesse Cook of Elkton, MD; seven brothers: George Johnson of Hinton, WV, James Johnson of Elkin, NC, Thomas Johnson of Wilkesboro, NC, Curtis Johnson of Traphill, NC, Leff Johnson of N. Wilkesboro, NC, Rex Johnson of Traphill, NC, Donald Johnson of Traphill, NC; also 22 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and she will be blessed with 2 additional great-grandchildren in the spring. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Richard Cook and 3 brothers, Ivan, Garvey and Jesse Johnson. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Charlestown Missionary Baptist Church, 1168 West Old Philadelphia Road, Charlestown, MD, where family and friends may call Monday evening, January 22, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
