Martin Wayne Stroupe

Martin Wayne Stroupe, 70 of Charlestown, MD, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 in the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center-UM, Bel Air, MD.

Born in Wytheville, VA, on June 19, 1952, he was the son of the late Garland Sylvester and Mary Grace (Sexton) Stroupe.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. After discharge he became a diesel mechanic, over the years working for Over Nite Trucking and UPS. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Elkton for over 45 years, where he also worked the sound board there during services. He enjoyed playing computer games and loved his family.

Martin is survived by his sisters: Kathy Stiltner (Tommy) and Vicki Allen (Robert) of Elkton, MD; God children: Gracie, Teresa and TJ; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by his brother: Dennis Stroupe.

Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, January 12, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Elkton, 607 Delaware Avenue, Elkton, Maryland 21921 with visitation for family and friends beginning at 12:00 noon.
