Martha Ford Scarberry

Martha Ford Scarberry, age 63, of Harrington, Delaware, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at Milford, Delaware. Born in North East, Maryland, on February 26, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Alfred Ford and Anna Mae Creswell. Mrs. Scarberry was a homemaker. She enjoyed the beach, eating crabs, riding bikes, the smell of lilacs, and especially watching her grandchildren play baseball and softball. Mrs. Scarberry is survived by her husband of 42 years, F.L. Scarberry, Harrington, Delaware; children, Mark H. Scarberry and Kimberly Scarberry, both of New Castle, Delaware, Rodney B. Scarberry, Harrington, Delaware, and Maryann Smith, Chesapeake City, Maryland; grandchildren, Angie M. Scarberry and F.L. Jacob Scarberry, both of New Castle, Delaware, Erin L. Smith, Jordin E. Smith, and Katherine M. Smith, all of Cecil County, Maryland; and brothers, Vernon Ford and Henry Ford, both of North East, Maryland. Family and friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, June 28, 2004, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at the funeral home. Rev. James R. Moyers of Elkton Church of the Nazarene, Elkton, Maryland will officiate. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, Maryland.
