Marlyn Jane Byrd Hubbard

Marlyn Jane Byrd, 76 of North East, MD, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton, on January 16, 1949, the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (Raine) Byrd.

Marlyn retired after more than 30 years of service in Social Work with the State of Maryland.

She enjoyed singing, dancing, playing games, and spending time with family and friends, especially her dear friend Wanda McCracken and her sister Bonnie.

Survivors include her son: Scott Hubbard of North East, MD; sister: Bonnie Reynolds of North East, MD; three grandchildren: Jessie, Billy, Monica; and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marlyn was also preceded by a son: Chris Hubbard; and sister: Catherine "Kitsy" Garrett.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
