Marjorie L. (Slatky) Taylor
Born in Duryea, PA, on September 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late John and the late Mary Jane (Schaffer) Slatky. She was the wife of the late Delbert W. Taylor, Sr. who died in 1996.
Marjorie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the North East Fire Company, North East, MD where over the years she had held the offices of president, vice president and treasurer. She was also a member of Rebecca’s Lodge and the North East Homemakers. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Most of all she enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow and spending time with them.
She is survived by her children: Marilyn A. Blankenship (Bobby) of Elkton, MD, Delbert W. Taylor, Jr. (Rose) and Deborah A. Bowen (David) all of North East, MD; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
