Marie Inez Barbaria Talbot Jones, 76 of Rising Sun, MD, died Thursday, July 10, 2008 in the St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington, DE. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, she was born in Elkton, MD on August 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Curtis Watson and the late Mildred Hall. Mrs. Jones was the beloved wife of George Franklin Jones, Sr. of Rising Sun, MD for 55 years. She was a Central Supply Tech, employed by Union Hospital for 50 years. She was a member of Trinity AUMP Church, were she was very involved in the choir. She also sang with both generations of the Golden Steps Choir. She enjoyed cake decorating, crafts, childcare, music, gardening, people, cooking and flea markets every Saturday morning at the crack of dawn. In addition to her loving husband, survivors include her children: Clarice Nesbit of Newport, DE; George F. Jones, Jr. of Oxford, PA; Keith A. Jones of Debary, FL; Roderick R. Jones of Aurora, CO; Jason V. Jones, Sr. of Rising Sun, MD; Jerry J. Jones, Sr. of North East, MD; and Patricia M. Hall of Newark, DE; siblings: Jayne Wells of Elkton, MD; Sekret Hall of Rising Sun, MD; Ramon Hall of Greenville, TN; and Princess N. Medeiros of Havre De Grace, MD; 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and multiple great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was also preceded in death by a daughter: Graeson Boddy and a sister: Viette Hall. Family and friends may visit Tuesday, July 15, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 2:00 PM at North East United Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, MD. Interment will be private.
