Marianne Mcclure

Marianne McClure, 77 of Rising Sun, MD, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 in the Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Lancaster, PA, on May 31, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Lester and Julia Quino Bowers. She was the wife of the late Emanuel R. McClure who died in 1994. She was retired from Harford Memorial Hospital and from GTE telephone in Tampa, Florida. She was a member of Auburn Regular Baptist Church, Landenberg, PA and the Rising Sun Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary for over 30 years. She enjoyed reading, but especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Survivors include her loving children: James E. McClure and his wife Sandi of Landenberg, PA, Linda Crothers and her husband Donald of Rising Sun, MD, Thomas J. McClure and his wife Carolyn of Quarryville, PA, and Patrick M. McClure and his wife Ann Marie of Elkton, MD; her siblings: Betty Bleacher of Lancaster, PA, Nancy Fisher of Millersville, Julie Mower of Lancaster, PA, Jean Gilbert of Lancaster, PA, Joan Roschel of Lancaster, PA, Ralph Bowers, Jr. of Lancaster, PA, and Donald Bowers of Lancaster, PA; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son: Jeffrey S. McClure. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD and again on Thursday, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Auburn Regular Baptist Church before services. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Auburn Regular Baptist Church, 500 Auburn Road, Landenberg, PA. Rev. Clarence Rowland, Rev. Homer Hansen and Rev. Fred Wyatt will officiate. Interment will follow services in Auburn Regular Baptist Cemetery, Landenberg, PA. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Auburn Reg.
