Maria (Schmitt) Tomkins
Maria was born in Wiesenfeld, Germany, on January 17, 1955.
She was an Administrative Assistant for American Legion Post 135 of Perryville, MD and a member of their Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
Maria is survived by her loving husband: James M. Tomkins, of Elkton, MD: one daughter: Christa M. Bender of Birdsboro, PA and one son: Jimmy W. Tomkins of Elkton, MD; her mother: Eva (Lang) Schmitt of Estenfeld, Germany; two brothers: Peter Schmitt of Rottendorf, Germany and Werner Schmitt of Freiburg, Germany.
She was preceded in death by her father, the late Helmut Schmitt.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 3:00 PM at American Legion Post 135, 300 Cherry Street, Perryville, MD, with visitation beginning at 1:00 PM until service time.
