Margery Ann (Horn) Simmons

Margery “Ann” Horn Simmons, 61 of Rising Sun, MD went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2016.

Ann was born in Oxford, PA, on May 27, 1955. She was the daughter of Margery (Hill) Horn of Rising Sun, MD and the late Arnold Edward Horn. Ann was the beloved wife of John T. Simmons of Rising Sun, for 35 years.

A lifelong resident of Rising Sun, Ann graduated from Rising Sun High School in 1973. She worked at Christiana Hospital for 27 years.

In addition to her husband, John, Ann is survived by her mother, Margery Horn of Rising Sun; sisters: Carol Parker and husband Bill of North East, MD, Bonnie Horn and Brenda Snider and husband Bill, all of Rising Sun, MD; nephews: Billy Snider, Jerry Horn Jr., Nicholas Horn, Eddie Horn Jr.; nieces: Holly Snider & Vicki Horn; great niece: Kelsey Horn Wassum and great nephews: Zack & Joshua Horn. Ann loved all her nieces & nephews dearly.

Ann was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Horn; brothers: Edward Horn Sr. & Jerry Horn Sr. and nephew: David Carpenter.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD where visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and again from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Interment will follow services at West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD
