Margaret Virginia (Creswell) Williams

Margaret Virginia Williams, 87 of North East, MD, died Saturday, April 13, 2013 in Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.

Born in Elkton, MD, on February 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Grant and the late Clara Emma (Cameron) Creswell.  She was the wife of the late Charles L. ‘June Bug’ Williams who died on April 26, 2010. Margaret was preceded in death by 4 sisters: Sara Kline, Marion Racine, Doris (Dot) Armour and Thelma (Tic) Fleming.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Williams worked at Charlestown Elementary School in the Cafeteria for 27 years.  She was a member of North East United Methodist Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for 40 years.  She loved playing bingo, working in her garden, eating out and spending time with her family.

She is survived by: 3 daughters: Rosemary Gatchell (Roger) of North East, MD, Nancy Jean Linkous (Steven) of Elkton, MD and Jean Marie Miller (Frank) of North East, MD; 6 grandchildren: Jennifer (Jeremy), Jonathan, Steve (Missy), Chris (Tina), Norman and Sam; 8 great grandchildren: Chloe, Emma, Timmy, Andrew, Megan, Alyssa, Ryan and Olivia; 1 brother: Jack Falkenstein (Sue) of North East, MD; her niece and caregiver: Charlotte Mann of North East, MD; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev, Bert Jicha will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
