Margaret Strimel

Margaret Peg Strimel has gone home to be with the Lord on January 21, 2011. She was born in Philadelphia on January 14, 1932 to the late Irene and Joseph Barth. Margaret was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of North East, MD for more than 35 years. She enjoyed singing with the choir and loved the Lord. Margaret also served as a member of the North East Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Her most special times were spent with family at holidays and on vacations. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Bob and Ed Barth of PA. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Charles Pete Strimel, her children: Renie Benjamin and husband Bill of North East, MD, Joseph Strimel and wife Barbara of Vero Beach, FL and Jennifer Stevenson and husband Larry of Elkton, MD. Margaret is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and her 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Bethel Lutheran Church, 24 Cameron Road, North East, MD where visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Interment will follow services in Georgetown Methodist Cemetery, Bart, PA.
