Margaret Jeanne Smith

Margaret Jeanne Smith, 82 of Elkton, MD, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at home. Born in Norwood, OH, on July 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Joseph and the late Marie O'Neill Southerington. Mrs. Smith was the loving wife of Lloyd Vernon Smith of Elkton, MD. She enjoyed sewing, card games with family and friends and swimming. She swam at the Elkton YMCA 2-3 times per week. In addition to her husband, survivors include her children: Charles Weber, Jr. of Charlottesville, VA; Robert Weber of Chatham, NJ; Barbara Ward of Salt Lake City, UT; and Theresa Geckle of Midlothian, VA; one brother: Thomas Southerington of Baltimore, MD; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Baltimore, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Season's Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
