Margaret Kay (Bourke) Ross

Margaret Kay Ross, 78 of Elkton, MD, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2024.

Born in Suffern, NY, on January 11, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William and Iva (Jones) Bourke.

Kay retired after many years of service working for the Social Security Administration.

She was an active member of St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church, North East, MD. She took pride in volunteering in the Outreach Program.  Kay loved collecting antique jewelry, solving crossword puzzles and mysteries.  In her free time, she loved bargain hunting at flea markets with her late husband, Hank and weekend shopping with her daughter, Jenn.  In her later years, she enjoyed going to the Elkton Senior Center.

Survivors include her daughter: Jennifer Dupilka and future son-in-law: Brian Hise; her stepson: Michael D. Ross; grandson: Micah Dupilka; and brother: Robert Bourke.

In addition to her parents, Kay was also preceded in death by her husband: Henry Ross; and granddaughter: Gwendolyn Dupilka.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD and Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, 315 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the church.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Mary Anne’s Episcopal Church, in care of the funeral home.
