Margaret E. “Peggy” Hall, of North East, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on May 23, 1934, in North East, Peggy was the cherished daughter of the late John McKinney and Catherine Johnson McKinney. A lifelong resident of the community she loved, Peggy touched countless lives with her kindness, warmth, and joyful spirit.
Peggy devoted herself to her family as a loving homemaker and, earlier in life, worked at Union Hospital. A proud graduate of North East High School’s Class of 1952, she embraced life with enthusiasm and a smile that could brighten any room. She loved to sing, dance, and spend time with family and friends. Her positive outlook, generous heart, and genuine love for others made her a joy to know.
Family gatherings were especially dear to Peggy. She expressed her love through cooking and was famous among family and friends for her delicious cookies and unforgettable deviled eggs. Her home was always a welcoming place filled with laughter, good food, and cherished memories.
Peggy leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory: her three children, Cindy Casper of Elkton, Maryland, Ruth Barton of Whidbey Island, Washington, and Michael Hall of Mt. Airy, Maryland; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, H. Howard Hall, and her great-granddaughter, Samantha Peirce.
Peggy’s legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
