Margaret May May

Margaret May May, 75 of Perryville, MD, died Monday, September 29, 2008 in the Citizens Nursing Center, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on May 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William and the late Kathryn McGee Schild. She was the wife of the late Robert May. She was the sister of the late Kathryn Gabe. Survivors include her children: Susan M. Martin of Aberdeen, MD, John E. Gillespie of North East, MD, and Michael J. Gillespie of Elkton, MD; a brother: William Schild of South Hampton, PA; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by former husband Edward Gillespie. Mrs. May was a member of St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, North East, MD. She worked in food service for Cecil County Public Schools, Bainbridge Elementary, and Woody's Crab House. She also worked as a Fabricator at the Franklin Mint. She enjoyed gardening, cardinals, dolls and NASCAR, especially when Jeff Burton was racing. She is a recent graduate of Education for Ministry EFM from University of the South School of Theology. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, October 2, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be held Friday, October 3, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Anne's Episcopal Church, 315 South Main Street, North East, MD. Father Samuel Hartman will officiate. Interment will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Mary Anne's Church.
