Margaret Mary Lewis

Margaret Mary Lewis, 88 of North East, MD, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at home. Born in Scotland, on June 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and the late Christine Barrett. She moved to the United States at the age of 3. She was the wife for 65 years of the late Thomas Anthony Lewis who died August 8, 2008. She raised her family in New York and has been a county resident since 2000. Mrs. Lewis was a member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed travel and her family. Survivors include three sons: Thomas A. Lewis, Jr. and his wife Donna of Virginia Beach, VA, Robert J. Lewis and his wife Mary Lou of Narrangansett, RI, William E. Lewis and his wife Karen of North East, MD; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, October 13, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 6:00PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD. Father Stanislao Esposito will officiate. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North Chesapeake Hospice Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
