Mae K. Abel

Mae K. Abel, 88 of North East, MD, died Saturday, May 31, 2008 at home. Born in Camden, NJ, on March 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Walter and the late Catherine Lynn Kille. She was the wife of the late Francis James Abel who died May 1, 2001. Mrs. Abel worked as the secretary to former Senator Bruce Wallace of New Jersey. She loved to travel; and enjoyed needlework, knitting, reading, playing bridge and watching Tiger Woods play golf. Survivors include her children: Lynne E. Abel of North East, MD; John F. Abel of West Berlin, NJ; and three grandchildren: Michelle, Danielle and Christopher. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 8, 2008 at 3:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Interment will be Monday, June 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM in Locustwood Cemetery, Erlton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Abel may be made to the charity of your choice.
