Mabel Ann Harrington, 68 of Chesapeake City, MD, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 in the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, Baltimore, MD.
Born in Elkton, MD, on January 4, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ward and the late Mabel Blanch (Lockard) Futty. She was the wife of the late Allen Harrington.
Prior to her retirement, Mabel worked at Thiokol from 1979 until 2011 as a Production Operator.
She was a member of Ebenezer UM Church, Rising Sun, where she taught Sunday School.
She loved spending time with her family; loved bingo, fishing, shopping, wildlife and all holidays. Mabel was very generous and good hearted and was loved by everyone she met.
Survivors include her children: Brenda Hepbron (Kevin) of Chesapeake City, MD, Dwayne Harrington (Robin) of Cecilton, MD and Patricia Bailey (Shaun) of Chesapeake City, MD; three sisters: Mary Lou Thompson of Rising Sun, MD, Ella Maxwell of Gray, TN, Betty Cannon of North East, MD and one brother: Ward Futty, Jr. of North East, MD; 7 grandchildren: Johanna, Ashley, Richie, Ben, Ariel, Hunter; and Dean; and her 4 great grandchildren: Camryn, Corinne, Abbigaile and Liam.
Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Mark Maxwell will be held Friday, February 27, 2014 at 12:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8 pm and from 11:00 - 12:00 on Friday.
Interment will follow services in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Season’s Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
