“Junior”

February 14, 1958 – December 25, 2024

Luther Clark Boggs, Jr., lovingly known as “Junior,” of Elkton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Christiana Care, Union Hospital, in Elkton, MD. He was 66 years old.

A lifelong resident of Elkton, Junior was born on February 14, 1958, to the late Luther Clark Boggs, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Burns) Boggs. He was the proud owner and operator of Boggs Excavating in Elkton since 1980, where he built a reputation for his hard work, dedication, and skill in the excavation industry.

Junior was a previous member of Moose Lodge in Cherry Hill, MD, where he shared many friendships and memories. Outside of work, Junior had a variety of passions. He enjoyed rebuilding and restoring heavy equipment, which allowed him to combine his mechanical skill with his love for hands-on work. He also cherished time spent boating, camping with his family, and enjoying turkey shooting.

Junior's true pride and joy was his family. He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Donna

C. (Williams) Boggs; children Jennifer G. Stidoms (Roy), Christina R. Riesett (Shane), Luther C. Boggs, III, and Jason A. Boggs, all of Elkton; his sister Pearla Broadway of Meridian, MS; and seven beloved grandchildren, who brought him immense joy.

Junior will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and devotion to his family and friends. His legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
