Lucy Victorine Rogers

Lucy Victorine Rogers, 77 of Elkton, MD, who fought a good fight, went to be with the lord Thursday, February 21, 2008 in the Laurelwood Nursing and Rehabilitation. Born in Johnson City, TN, on January 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John L. and Susie B. Dickens Tester. Mrs. Rogers, a homemaker, enjoyed her family, walking and reading the bible. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harry C. Rogers, who died July 25, 2007, and her brother Dallas Tester. Lucy is survived by four daughters: Viola Sells of North East, MD; Lorreen Harris of North East, MD; Florence Moore of Conowingo, MD; and Susie Nagle of Charlestown, MD; her brother: R.V. Tester of the Philippines; her sister: Helen L. Lockard of North East, MD; and also 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 25, 2008 at the Crouch Funeral Home 127 South Main St. North East, MD where family and friends may call 1 hour before the service. Rev. Shawn Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Billy Moore, Dennis Mistler, John Lockard, Matthew Colman, Mark Sells, and Rick Sizemore.
