Lucy P. Guiberson

Lucy P. Guiberson, 95 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in Rising Sun, MD. Born in Flat Ridge, VA, on August 25, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Hedrick and the late Mary Larue Parks. She was the wife of the late Maurice L. Guiberson who died on Aug. 8, 1982. She retired from Thiokol and was a member of Union United Methodist Church, Elkton, MD. Lucy enjoyed sewing, flowers, cooking and reading, especially the Bible. She was a private, quiet, Christian lady. She is survived by one brother: Harry Parks of Zion, MD and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her very dear friend of many years, June Edwards. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Stephen Schappert will officiate. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Season's Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
