Lorris Harry 'Butch' Smith

Lorris Harry 'Butch' Smith, 58 of Elkton, MD, died Saturday, November 8, 2008. Born in North East, MD, on March 29, 1950, he was the son of the late Lorris L. and the late Carrie E. Hamilton Smith. He was retired, having worked as a welder. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping. He also liked to travel. Mr. Smith is survived by one daughter: Margarite Smith; his brothers: Leonard Hamilton and Lorren Smith; his sisters: Barbara, Kathleen and Rebecca Smith; uncles, Harold and Albert; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers: Leroy Hamilton and Leo 'Tony' Smith. Funeral service will be held Friday, November 14, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 1:00 PM. Rev. Paul Thomas will officiate. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
