Lorine Nowland

Lorine Nowland, 69 of North East, MD, died Monday, October 29, 2007 in the Christiana Hospital, Christiana, DE. Born in Jolo, WV, on May 29, 1938, she was the daughter of Patty Osborne Church of North East, MD and the late Vernon Church, Sr. She was the wife of the late Earl L. Nowland, Sr. who died Feb. 3, 1973. Mrs. Nowland was a member of First Baptist Church of North East, North East, MD. She enjoyed sewing, ironing, dining out and watching westerns. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one son: Earl Nowland, Jr. of North East, MD; three sisters: Shirley Mackey of Rising Sun, MD; Sue Stanton of Elkton, MD; Joyce Speck of Elkton, MD; and three brothers: Vernon Church, Jr. of North East, MD; Billy Church of Rising Sun, MD; and Wayne Church of North East, MD Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of North East, 206 Mechanics Valley Road, North East, MD, where family and friends may visit starting at 10:00 AM. Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Hokuf will officiate. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery.
