Lorenzo Baker, Jr.

Lorenzo Baker, Jr., 68 of North East, MD, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Danville, VA, on August 2, 1940, he was the son of the late Carson Lorenzo and the late Dorothea Haymore Baker. Mr. Baker was the beloved husband of 33 years of Dorothy J. Baker, North East, MD. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired from Baltimore City where he worked as a dispatcher. A member of Beacon Baptist Church, White Marsh, MD, he enjoyed traveling, music and photography. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include: four daughters: Mary Ellen Baker of North East, MD, Deborah D. Snead of Virginia Beach, VA, Virginia Pruitt of Dundalk, MD, Cathy L. Meza of TX and one son: Robert D. Baker of North East, MD; three stepchildren: Sandra Lee Woods of Cowen, WV, Elizabeth A. Hacker of Ocean City, MD, Robert D. Baker of Chase, MD; 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
