Lonnie Thomas Elville, a cherished member of both his community and family, departed this world on January 15, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on September 23, 1949, Lonnie's life was a testament to hard work and dedication, particularly in his esteemed role as a mechanic for East Nottingham Township.
Lonnie was more than his profession; leaving behind a legacy of love and care. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen M. Elville, whose partnership enriched his life with laughter and joy. His warmth continues to resonate through his children, Amanda Salas and Crystal Elville, whose spirits reflect the values and lessons he instilled in them. Lonnie also leaves behind cherished connections with Thomas Suarez, Stephon Swift, and Jennifer Todd, who were fortunate to share in his life.
Though he will be deeply missed, Lonnie is reunited with those who have gone before him His father, David W. Elville, and his mother, Mary H. Nobblitt.
A memorial service honoring Lonnie's remarkable life will be held at Crouch Funeral Home in North East, MD, on January 29, 2026. Friends and family are invited to gather from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM to celebrate his enduring spirit and the many lives he touched.
