Lisa Ann (Jackson) Molands

Lisa Ann Jackson Molands, 52 of Bear, DE, formerly of North East, MD, died Tuesday, November 11, 2014 peacefully in her home after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and the complications stemming from it.

Born in Havre de Grace, MD, on August 15, 1962, she was the daughter of James ‘Pete’ and Janice (Stewart) Jackson, of Bear, DE.

Lisa served her country in the U.S. Army as a PFC.  Her career was cut short due to the onset of her illness. She enjoyed country music and dancing.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son: A.T. Molands; 3 sisters: Oakley Jackson of Bradenton, FL, Lela Susan Jackson of Newark, DE and Jessie Lynn Thomas (Kerry) of North East, MD; and 8 nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her longtime nurse, caregiver and friend: Edna 'Mae' Moretz.

Lisa was preceded in death by her brother: Daniel Jackson.

Special thanks go to the Elsmere Veterans Administration for the excellent care and help Lisa received for over 20 years from the hospital and staff of the HBC Unit.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am until service time.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
