Lillian Pauline (Mcmullen) Tester

Lillian Pauline Tester, 73 of North East, MD, died Monday, January 6, 2014 in the Heartland Hospice House, Wilmington, DE.

Born in Elkton, MD, on April 6, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Mary (Alexander) McMullen.

Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Tester was a secretary at the Flying J Truck Stop and R.C. Burkheimer Auction both in North East, MD.  She enjoyed crafts and traveling.  She enjoyed her work and talking with people.  She was a real ‘people person’.

Survivors include 3 daughters: Terry Tester of Chestertown, MD, Darlene Snyder of Elkton, MD and Teresa Simpers of North East, MD; 2 sisters: Elizabeth Deckman of Port Deposit, MD and Doris Rhodes of Bay View, MD; 5 grandchildren:  Anna Marie White, Danny Simpers, Donald Snyder, Jr., Amanda Aultman and Michael Connolley; and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tester was also preceded in death by 6 siblings: Clyde McMullen, Harry McMullen, Mae MCGonigal, Frances Tapp, Arthur McMullen and Bessie Moore.

Funeral service will be held Friday, January 10, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery.
