Lillian "Mazie" (Culley) Poore

Lillian May Poore “Mazie”, 99 of Charlestown, MD, passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at Elkton Nursing and Rehab Center, Elkton, MD.

Born in North East, MD, on June 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Walter Spry and Advana May (Alexander) Culley.

She was a lifetime member of the North East VFW Post 6027, North East, MD. She loved cooking, camping and her dog, Pierré.

Mazie is survived by her son: William Gibson (Jean); 3 grandchildren: Ricky Gibson (Delores), Ine May and Tana Maynard; 12 great grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; 1 great-great-great granddaughter; nieces and nephews; son-in-law: Richard Gestewitz, Sr. and his grandchildren: Chad and Cammie Gestewitz; and longtime companion: Clarence Miles.

In addition to her parents Mazie was preceded in death by her husbands: William Sartin, David Gibson and Leonard Poore; daughters: Henrietta Maynard and Nancy Gestewitz; grandson: Richard Gestewitz, Jr.; and 10 siblings.

Memorial services will be held, Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD with visitation beginning at 1:00pm.

Interment will be private in Charlestown, MD.
