Lilia M. (Boyer) Wilson

Lilia M. (Boyer) Wilson, 92 of Charlestown, MD, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 26, 2024. Born in North East, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Louise (Reed) Boyer.

Lilia began her seamstress career shortly after she graduated from North East High School in 1949.  She worked at the Hosiery Mill in Harford County, Nannette’s in Elkton, and Elkton Fashions. She also enjoyed making clothes for her family, crocheting, knitting, and other needlework projects.  She was a faithful member of River City Baptist Church, Port Deposit, MD.  She had been a Sunday School teacher for many years and loved to sing hymns as specials for the congregation.  Lilia was an avid fan of football and baseball, especially the Raven and Eagle teams, along with the Orioles and Phillies.

Survivors include her children: Mary Cadle (James), David Wilson (Deborah), Carol Seldomridge (Daniel), Thomas Wilson (Renee); grandchildren: Jonathan Cadle (Wendy), Kevin Seldomridge (Jordan), Thomas Seldomridge (April); Paul Wilson, Matthew Wilson (Olivia), Brooke Wood (Steven), Samantha Wilson; and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband: Ray B. Wilson; sisters: Mary Durham, Harriett Wilson, Barbara Davis, Norma Martin and Margaret “Peggy” Wright; grandchildren: Tonya Sawyer, Bethany Wilson, Allyson Wilson; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Willie Walton will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm at River City Baptist Church, 312 Craigtown Road, Port Deposit, MD, where visitation will begin at 12:00 noon.

Interment will follow in Principio Cemetery, Perryville, MD.
