Leroy Hamilton

Leroy Hamilton, 67 of North East, MD, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in North East, MD, on July 21, 1940, he was the son late Carrie E. Hamilton Smith and the step-son of the late Lorris L. Smith. Mr. Hamilton was raised by his grandparents the late Harry R. and the late Carrie R. Hamilton. He retired from Maryland Portable Concrete after many years of service. A lifetime member of North East Fire Company, he was also a member of Harford - Cecil Fireman's Association Hall of Fame. He enjoyed fishing and playing the harmonica. Survivors include: his loving wife Penny Hamilton and two sons: Terry Dean Allen; Shannon Allen and his wife Christie; his grandson Brian who was his pride and joy. Also survived by his siblings: his twin Leonard, Harold, Albert, Lorris, Barbara, Kathleen, Susan, Rebecca, and Lorren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may visit Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Glenn Bromwell will officiate. Interment will follow in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park in Elkton, MD.
