He was born in Elkton, MD, on February 13, 1955.
Prior to his retirement, Leonard worked as an auto mechanic. He enjoyed motorcycles and race cars.
He is survived by his wife: Lorraine Wanzer of Aberdeen, MD: his children: Oliver T. Wanzer of Baltimore, MD, India Ellis (Marcus) of Detroit, MI, Leonard H. Wanzer, III of Aberdeen, MD, Wayne Wanzer of Baltimore, MD, Terrance Wanzer and Cesar Wanzer both of Aberdeen, MD; his mother: Pauline Bertha (Brown) Wanzer of Aberdeen, MD: 5 siblings: Marissa Wanzer of Aberdeen, MD, Dennis Wanzer, Wayne Wanzer, Rodney Wanzer and Yolanda Wanzer all of Havre de Grace, MD; his mother-in-law: Alice Davenport of Baltimore, MD; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Leonard was preceded in death by his father: Leonard H. Wanzer, Sr.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM until service time.
Interment will follow services in Mount Carmel Cemetery, North East, MD.
