Leonard F. Pugh, Jr.

Leonard F. Pugh, Jr., age 69, of Ireland, WV, formerly of North East MD, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at his home. Born in Elkton, MD on October 26, 1939, Leonard was the son of the late Leonard F. Pugh Sr., and Angelina Pugh. He served in the US Air Force as an electronics technician during the Vietnam War, and later using those skills as a Biomedical Engineer at Union Hospital for 15 years. He co-founded North East Electric, from which he retired in 2005. In addition to this, Leonard worked for the Maryland Park Services and volunteered for the North East Fire Company. He enjoyed helping others, though shied away from recognition of his efforts. A truly selfless man, he loved being with his family and working on his home in West Virginia. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Bonnie G. Pugh; 2 sons, Leonard F. Pugh III and his wife Patti of North East, MD, Richard L. Pugh and his wife Anita of South Port, FL; his 2 siblings, Roger Pugh and his wife Vickie of North East, MD, Betty Hollenbaugh and her husband, John of Conowingo, MD; and 5 grandchildren, Cassie Pugh, Leonard Pugh IV, Brittany Pugh, Kaelan Eberle, and Shannon Eberle. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at North East Methodist Cemetery. Rev. Daniel T. Gedman will officiate.
