Leona Ruth (Bowling) Burkey
Born in KY, on April 28, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William C. and the late Maude (Gibson) Bowling.
Mrs. Burkey was the wife of the late Ray Burkey who died on June 18, 2004.
She enjoyed puzzles and reading.
Survivors include her children: Pamela Joy Hill-Cottrill of Port Deposit, MD, Ricky Ray Eugene Burkey of Washington, WV, Dennis Wade Burkey of Street, MD, Crystal Gay Beavin of Lewisville, TX and Christopher Charles Burkey of Edgewood, MD; a brother: Clarence Bowling of Aberdeen, MD; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 am until service time.
Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
