Leon Carvel Armour, Jr.

Leon Carvel Armour, Jr., 55 of Upland, PA, formerly of North East, MD, died suddenly Saturday, July 18, 2009 in North East, MD. Born in Elkton, MD, on June 11, 1954, he was the son of the late Leon Carvel Armour, Sr. and Nina Sexton Armour of North East, MD. He was the husband of the late Noreen Allen Armour who died in 2003. He was a Truck Driver for 34 years at M & M Restaurant Supply. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, baseball, Delaware Park and Harrah's in Atlantic City. Most of all he enjoyed his grandchildren. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children: MaryJane Gilbert and her husband Mike of Upland, PA, Leon A. Armour and his wife Meleia of Aston, PA, Holly A. Crist and her husband Walt of Newport, DE; a sister: Patricia Roadcap of Grottoes, VA; and his 4 puddin heads, Joseph, Alexis, Nathan and Nora. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Bateman Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Avenue, Brookhaven, PA, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and beginning at 10:00 AM Thursday before the service.
