Layne Gilbert Sprout, Jr.
Layne Gilbert Sprout, Jr., 66 of Elkton, MD, died Sunday, September 11, 2016.
He was born in Elkton, on August 12, 1950.
Layne served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from the University of DE where he worked as a security offices.
He loved decoys and going to shows. His faithful companion, Bear the dog was always by his side.
Survivors include his wife: Patricia G. Sprout of Oxford, PA; his children: Alicia D. Orangio of Elkton, Holt O. Sprout of Elkton, Lauren N. Cardoso of NM, and Travis L. Sprout, Sr. of Port Deposit, MD; his mother: Janice (Demond) Sprout of Elkton; his sister: Robin Laird of North East, MD; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father: Layne G. Sprout, Sr.
