Lawson David Stacy, 77 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at home after a short illness.

Born in Jolo, WV, on September 2, 1945, he was the son of the late Lawson and Irene (Baker) Stacy.

Lawson retired from General Motors August 1, 2000 after 33 years of service. After retirement he kept busy being a handyman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars. He most loved attending his grandkids sporting and dance events.

He is survived by his wife: Deborah Stacy of Elkton, MD; children: Irene Denise Perry and husband David, David Chris Stacy and wife Lisa and Stephen Wade Stacy and wife Crystal all of Elkton, MD; grandchildren: Jordan Perry, Brittney Perry Snyder, Madison Perry, Michaela Stacy, Matthew Stacy and Savannah Stacy; great grandchild: Paisley Snyder; and mother-in-law: Polly Hagey

In addition to his parents, Lawson was preceded in death by his first wife: Velvia Evonne Stacy; brothers: Dan, Henry, Andrew, Jankey and Leonard Stacy; and sisters: Mary Messer, Thelma Kennedy and Judy Smith.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
