Kevin Jay Gill passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. He was born on December 12, 1959, in Washington, DC, the beloved son of Carl F. Gill Sr. and Francis M. “Bonnie” Gill. He grew up surrounded by love alongside his brother Carl “Ricky” Gill Jr. and his sisters Delene “Dee,” Mitzi, and Bonnie. As the youngest, Kevin proudly held his place as the baby of the family.
Kevin was raised in Hyattsville, Maryland and remained a Marylander at heart, never leaving Maryland. He lived life on his own terms, unapologetically and authentically. Those who truly knew Kevin understood his spirit—he was stubborn, loyal, and unforgettable.
He had a deep love for riding his Harley-Davidson, enjoying a cold beer, and sharing a shot of whiskey as his signature way of welcoming friends. Kevin cherished laughter, good company, and making memories. He simply loved living life and having a good time.
Above all, Kevin loved his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 17 years, Frany, and his children, Kari, Maria, Marc, and Michael. His grandchildren—Adrien, Gabe, AJ, Tanner, Melanee, Bailee, and Aaliyah—will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Bonnie; his brother, Ricky; his sister, Bonnie; his nephew, Joey; and his beloved dog, Charlie Boy, who we trust was there to greet him.
True to who he was, Kevin did not want a formal funeral. Instead, he wished for his friends and loved ones to gather, share a drink, and remember the good times. Family and friends are invited to contact the family for further details on a celebration of his life.
Kevin will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
