Kenneth Leroy Oswalt

Kenneth Leroy Oswalt, 77 of Elkton, MD, passed away suddenly Wednesday, January 23, 2019.

Born in Alliance, OH, on February 17, 1941, he was the son of the late Perry Leroy and Mary Agnes (Mensch) Oswalt.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.  After his discharge, Mr. Oswalt worked for the Dept. of Defense for the Army where he retired after 30 years of service.  In retirement, he farmed for 23 years specializing in Devon cattle.

His hobbies included square dancing for 43 years, model trains and reading western books.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years: Margaret “Beaver” Oswalt; three sons: Jacob and Timothy Oswalt both of Elkton, MD and Kenneth Oswalt of Freemont, CA. He is also survived by two grandsons: Brandon and Gabriel.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Sue.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:00 pm.

Interment will follow services in Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
