Kenneth Wade Laird

Kenneth Wade Laird, 46 of North East, MD, died Monday, May 25, 2009 at home. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Elkton, MD, on January 25, 1963, the son of George and Shirley Bryan Laird of North East, MD. He was a Trackman, retired from Amtrak. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, bow hunting, archery competitions and anything that was outdoors. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter: Jamie Leigh Laird of Rising Sun, MD and one son: Kenneth Wade Laird, Jr. of North East, MD; a stepdaughter, Sarah Racine of FL; his siblings: Robert S. Laird and his wife Barbara of North East, MD, Terry G. Laird and his wife Theresa of Elkton, MD, Rick W. Laird and his wife Resa of Charlestown, MD, Vicki L. Warfield and her husband Robert of North East, MD, Michael G. Laird and his wife Donna of Elkton, MD; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry A. Laird who died in 1979. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Ed Gray will officiate. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
