Kenneth R. Barrick

Kenneth R. Barrick, 57 of North East, MD, died suddenly Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Frederick, MD, on November 5, 1949, he was the son of the late George Lewis and the late Charlotte Oscar Robinson Barrick. Mr. Barrick was the loving husband for 30 years of Donna A. Fagan Barrick of North East, MD. He retired from the DuPont Corporation in 2005 working in Logistics at the Barley Mill Site. He was currently working as a consultant for DuPont and also was a real estate agent for Mackie & Morgan Real Estate, Elkton, MD. Mr. Barrick was a member of the Maryland National Guard and the Merchant Marines. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge, Elkton, MD. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, golfing, boating and dancing. He was an avid horse racing owner and fan. He was a Ravens fan and was quite the sports enthusiast, especially football and baseball. He was the coach of the Rising Sun High Girl's Basketball team. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include: his children: Kristen M. Barrick of Rising Sun, MD; and Christopher P. Barrick of Baltimore, MD; a sister: Susan R. Taylor of Damascus, MD; a brother: Bruce D. Barrick of Rising Sun, MD; and 7 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation Sunday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and before the services Monday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Rev. Roger Melson will officiate. Interment will be in Sharps Cemetery, Fair Hill, MD.
